    CREATION OF THE LARGEST MURAL IN THE COUNTRY

    INFORMATION:

    The Glass City River Wall is a community endeavor that includes:

    • The implementation of a 170,000 square foot mural designed by renown Los Angeles artist, Gabe Gault, and executed by Detroit Sign Painters
    • Educational resources including a downloadable curriculum
    • Community Outreach including a collaboration with the American Advertising Federation, Lourdes University, and other local organizations

    VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES & EXPERIENCES:

    Volunteer opportunities include one daily shift that will allow volunteers to

    • Fulfill the role of full utility player with the creative team, including local artists and renowned national artist, Gabe Gault
    •  Gain an understanding of the scope of work needed to complete large scale mural implementation
    • Participate in various aspects of the artistic process

    ONSITE ROLES:

    Volunteer experience to include but not limited to:

    • Facilitating the execution of nation’s largest mural as painter’s intern, including running and mixing paint
    • Bringing supplies to crew and going on equipment runs
    • Collecting assets for social media and coordinating with social media team for distribution

    SAFETY PROTOCOLS & VOLUNTEER REQUIREMENTS: (ACCORDING TO ADM STANDARDS)

    • Daily temperature checks and log in prior to shift start
    • Social distancing and masking during interaction within 6 feet
    • Volunteers must be at least 18 years of age with a valid driver’s license, and it is strongly
    • recommended that they have their own vehicles
    • Volunteers are responsible for self-monitoring of any symptoms
